As time progresses, tableware evolves with culture, reflecting local lifestyles and traditions through its shapes, colors, patterns, production techniques, and uses. Tableware serves as a vessel, embodying culture in its form. This series, "Rediscovering Taiwanese Tableware," reinterprets familiar objects in our daily lives. Here, "taste" encompasses not only the flavors of food but also a range of emotions and memories.

The “wan-gong” is a uniquely Taiwanese bowl, sized between a rice bowl and a soup bowl. It is one of the most common tableware items in Taiwanese culture, used in households, fields during harvest celebrations, street food stalls, and religious offerings. The “wan-gong” is versatile, functioning as both a rice and soup bowl, suitable for various dining needs.

The glaze has a warm, rustic texture, with a simple, elegant design exuding cultural charm.

This bowl combines practicality with cultural significance, making it both functional and deeply connected to Taiwanese heritage.
